Well, I'm off to the ER again tomorrow, doctors' orders. There's a constant pressure in my chest, though it's lessened recently, and my left shoulder is sore, and my left arm is all tingly.
Yikes, eh?

Man dressed as ninja torches porn store in the name of God
Fire investigators say a Powell man admitted dressing up like a ninja to burn down an adult business, all in the name of God.
Benjamin Daniel Warren, age 20, faces an arson charge that could send him to prison for six years. Warren is out on $5,000 bond while his case goes before a grand jury. Arson investigators had no clue Warren was a suspect until he came in to confess.
Arson investigators say Warren admitted using a fake gun to get the clerk out of the Town and Country bookstore,7011 Clinton Highway, back on January 31. After ordering the employee to leave the store, Warren then pored six gallons of a flammable liquid inside the store and set it ablaze.

1. Everyone's getting out of school but me. 2. My astronomy grades are astronomically horrible. 3. My room's a mess. 4. I can't go to Ragnorak this summer because of registration. 5. I'm stuck at a desk job (providing I even get it) this summer. 6. My cat eats cute rodents. 7. I need to exercise. 8. I'm transferring, disappointing more people than my wonderful voice teacher and my boss. 9. I can't beat that stupid blitzball tournament in Final Fantasy X. 10. I have to write a four page paper for Spanish this weekend. 11. I had to be out by 10:30 on a Saturday morning.
My voice teacher is soooo awesome, I will be very sad to leave him. We sang opera together yesterday... he is just so excited about everything and he loves my voice. Also, I have an accompanist now for juries and that makes me very happy.

Well, I saw Bob Dole, so I guess I had to balance it out and see Al Franken.
Funny guy. Also, the first Jew I've seen in Minnesota.

Do you know what Snoopy says in Spanish? Blaj.

I feel out-of-the-loop, but rightly so, I suppose, seeing as I'm in Minnesota. But I'm not the type to settle down, then, am I. The next year of my life will be spent on the shores of Lake Eerie, less than an hour from Niagara Falls and Canada, taking all the English and Spanish classes I have time for. The year after that, I will be abroad; whether I spend a semester at East Anglia and one at Aberdeen, I haven't decided, but it will be there. That's moves 19 and 20, perhaps 21, for me. That's how I can count my life: we lived here for X number of years, and then came Move Number Five, etc. Then comes my senior year of undergraduate education, whereupon I will graduate with some honors, most likely holding an English and Spanish degree, possibly a vocal performance minor. I will then take a year off and travel, working (check this place out) overseas, then I will attend a graduate school for free. I will most likely be overseas for that too, unless I get a really sweet offer from the University of Maryland or NYU or something. My master's will take two years, and I will get an MFA in creative writing. Then, I'll probably live abroad for a few years, doing some temporary work, then teach creative writing to college students and be a writer-in-residence. So, that's where I'll be in ten years. Where will you be?

So, Bob Dole is coming to St. Olaf next week. There's been this huge poster of him hanging in the cafeteria since the end of Spring Break.
Reasons to take the huge-ass poster of Bob Dole: 1) It's huge. 2) Bob Dole refers to Bob Dole as Bob Dole. 3) He represents Viagra. 4) This guy dressed in a Dole banana suit gets up during dinner telling us we should all go see Bob Dole. 5) That smile's just asking for it.
Thus, at 9 pm, in the pitch-black, we go into the cafeteria and liberate Bob Dole with my trusty knife. We put in his place a poster that says, "WE STOLE BOB DOLE." It was made with thrown-away flyers and colored with a stolen pencil and taped together with tape we stole from various posters. So, we end up with this in our room:

There are more pictures on my facebook.
Best day of my life.
Also, I dyed my hair. It looks okay. great! I am an auburn-head.
EDIT: We were thinking of taking one of the pieces of the poster, like his tie, and having him sign it. It would ROCK.

It's funny how the two were reported both in today's paper. --------------
'Gospel of Judas' Surfaces After 1,700 Years

An early Christian manuscript, including the only known text of what is known as the Gospel of Judas, has surfaced after 1,700 years. The text gives new insights into the relationship of Jesus and the disciple who betrayed him, scholars reported today. In this version, Jesus asked Judas, as a close friend, to sell him out to the authorities, telling Judas he will "exceed" the other disciples by doing so.
Though some theologians have hypothesized this, scholars who have studied the new-found text said, this is the first time an ancient document defends the idea.
The discovery in the desert of Egypt of the leather-bound papyrus manuscript, and now its translation, was announced by the National Geographic Society at a news conference in Washington. The 26-page Judas text is said to be a copy in Coptic, made around A. D. 300, of the original Gospel of Judas, written in Greek the century before.

Interactive Gospel of Judas from National Geographic. Freakin' awesome.

My sister and I, on Sunday, decided to put makeup on Tess. The cat went from stupid-looking to just plain ridiculous. She had on tons of blush and bright blue eyeshadow. No, this is not animal torture. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen.
Her blush rubbed off a little, and we hadn't applied the eyeshadow. It was way funnier when she just sat and looked at us. Yes, we put blush on her chin.
Also, here is Miss Kitty, who would kill me if I tried to put makeup on her. She is the sweetest cat, though, with fur like a rabbit. She's on my bed at home.

Well, my hair has again stopped coming out in worrisome amounts. It is thin, but LONG. Not really really long, but as long as I've ever had it, and it's down to the middle of my back... a couple more inches and it'll be waist-long. Okay, I know hair isn't anything really special to some people, but it is to me, since I lost more than half of it. Anyway, I've always liked my hair, even in its various rebellious forms; it's more straight/wavy now, not curly, I guess that was just for a few years. It's been a goal of mine since eighth grade to grow my hair out, and by 'out' I mean as long as it will go. =)
Spring Break for me!! I don't leave 'till tomorrow though, and I have to leave early since the dorms close before the bus comes, bleh. I have Ray Bradbury to keep me company. I already went through lots of Dan Brown. Damn my fast reading skills, they are a curse sometimes.
I found my glasses. I was cleaning my room, top-to-bottom (it looks AWESOME) and I found them in a drawer. Who knew I would like seeing? I always felt dorky in glasses, but it seems to be okay now, since I think they make me look older. I always have been pegged for being younger than I am... well, sometimes.
So, I got an email entitled, "Radish and Shakespeare's Excellent Adventure." Can't say I ever got one like that.
( Like, bodacious. )
EDIT: I just realized I've been sitting here for the last 45 minutes without a shirt on and I completely forgot. Guess my hair really is long.

1) I actually know the words to La Bamba, instead of balalalala bamba as I always used to think. 2) I'm listening to Latin music. Latin eighties music, like Vamos a la Playa. Good stuff. 3) I watch Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights twice in two days and close my eyes so I don't read the subtitles. 4) My cell phone is set in Spanish. 5) My iPod is set in Spanish. 6) I can think of things to say that would better express my thoughts in Spanish. 7) I have a strong urge to visit Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Spain, Peru, Ecuador... 8) I think of my name more often as Isabel in Spanish class, rather than Elizabeth. 9) I chose Spanish as one of my majors. 10) My family thinks I'm crazy and yells at me to talk in English. 11) I love speaking, talking, reading, translating, listening to it. 12) I'm writing about Spanish instead of finishing my six-page term/research paper on Proverbs.

'Spider Lamb'
A lamb with six legs - four in front and two at the back - was born on a farm in Belgium. The lamb cannot walk and has to be specially fed.

'Missing Link?'
